What Makes This Vanilla Persimmon Candle Different

Candle Care Guide

Follow these steps to get the most out of every burn.

Step	What to Do and Why
First burn	Let the candle burn until the wax melts all the way to the edges of the jar. This is called a full melt pool and it stops tunneling from happening on future burns.
Trim your wick	Before every burn, trim the wood wick down to about 1/4 inch. This keeps the flame the right size and prevents excess soot or smoke.
Burn time	Burn for 2 to 4 hours at a time. Never burn for more than 4 hours in a single session.
Keep it safe	Never leave a burning candle alone. Keep away from children, pets, drafts, and anything that can catch fire. Place on a heat-safe surface.
Stop burning	Stop use when only 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the jar to protect the cement.
Reuse the jar	Once the candle is done, pour boiling water into the jar to loosen remaining wax. Let it cool, remove the wax disc, and clean with soap and warm water. Your cement jar is now ready to use again.
