At Zyndl, we hand-pour our candles in small batches in King, NC. We want you to love your fragrance. However, scent is a very personal thing. Because we are a small business, we have specific guidelines for returns and exchanges.
The “Golden Rule” of Candle Returns
If you lit it, you own it.
For safety and quality reasons, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on any candle that has been lit or used. Even if it was only lit for a minute, we cannot resell it.
Online Orders: Return Policy
If you ordered online and the candle is brand new and unburned, you may return it within 14 days of delivery.
Please note:
- Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for paying the shipping costs to return the item to our King, NC studio.
- Condition: The candle must be in its original packaging with the wick unburned.
- Refunds: Once we receive the return and check its condition, we will refund the price of the candle. We do not refund the original shipping cost.
“I don’t like the scent.”
We do our best to describe every scent clearly on our website. We list the Top, Middle, and Base notes to help you choose.
If you receive a candle and do not like the smell on cold (before lighting it), you are welcome to exchange it. You just need to ship the unburned candle back to us. We recommend buying our Sample Sets or visiting us at a local market if you are unsure about a scent.
Event & Festival Purchases
If you bought a candle from us in person at an event (like the Autumn Leaves Festival or Mayberry Days), all sales are final.
Since you had the opportunity to smell the candle in person before buying, we do not offer returns or exchanges on market purchases.
