This premium scented candle opens with bright citrus and crisp apple, followed by a heart of tart cranberry, warm cinnamon, and just enough sugar to keep it sweet.

Real Talk:

Each vessel is handcrafted in our NC studio, which means tiny quirks come with the territory. Little bubbles, subtle texture variations, and slight color shifts aren’t flaws – they’re proof your piece was made by humans, not robots. Consider these your candle’s character lines, making each one as unique as you are. #SorryNotSorry

Frasier Fir
Think high up in NC’s Appalachian Mountains (we’re talking 4,000+ feet) where these bad boys grow wild. Named after some Scottish plant nerd John Fraser (thanks, my dude), but we just call it the Cadillac of Christmas trees around here.
The Scent: Pure mountain air meets that perfect Christmas tree smell. Dark green needles and silvery undersides = that classic balsam fragrance that doesn’t mess around.
Why It Slaps:
The real deal from NC mountains
Strong throw (like standing in a forest)
Supporting our local tree farmers
Fun Fact: These trees get VIP treatment at the White House during the holidays. Yeah, they’re that fancy.

Balsam fir (Abies balsamea) is generally considered more fragrant than Fraser fir. The Balsam fir has a stronger, more intense “traditional Christmas tree” scent that many people associate with the holiday season. This is due to higher concentrations of aromatic compounds in its needles and sap.

However, there are some nuances to consider:

  • Balsam fir has a stronger, more immediate fragrance that fills a room quickly
  • Fraser fir has a more subtle, sweet scent that some people prefer because it’s not as overwhelming
  • Both trees contain aromatic compounds called terpenes, but Balsam fir typically has higher concentrations
  • The fragrance strength can vary based on:
    • Freshness of the tree
    • Room temperature (warmer temperatures release more scent)
    • Whether the tree has been recently watered
    • Age and health of the tree

Some people choose Balsam specifically for its stronger scent, while others prefer the milder fragrance of Fraser fir combined with its superior needle retention and stronger branches. Both species have that classic “Christmas tree” aroma, just at different intensities.
